Seth's 5th Birthday - part 2

To further celebrate our 5 year old - Seth had a few close friends over for a sleepover party.  Here was our schedule of fun play in the backyard, watch part of a movie, make your own pizza's, fun with magic and science, make your own cupcakes, watch more of the movie, sleep?  Everything went really well - except the sleeping.  Everyone decided that sleeping at home was a better idea.  Don't worry, Seth wasn't alone - Jerald slept in Seth's underbed.  It was exhausting but so much fun!

5 Months Old!!!

Time sure flies when you are this cute!  Ezra continues to be our cutie pie.  He is quick with a smile and a giggle - especially when his big brothers are being silly.  This month he began to roll from his back to his stomach (he did it for the first time at Nana's house in front of a big crowd).  He quickly began rolling constantly.  I will put him on his back for two seconds and poof he is on his tummy.  Ezra also has become fascinated with his feet - grabbing them and sometimes even getting them in his mouth.  He is getting better at tr-pod sitting and I am sure sitting on his own is not too far away.  Yes, he is still sleeping swaddled in the co-sleeper in our room.  Most nights he needs some rocking to go to sleep but then he will wake up zero or 1 times.  It is not bad enough for us to try to change it - although this cannot go on forever.  He is getting better at recognizing people.  There is no better feeling when I walk into a room and Ezra sees me - he smiles this great big smile that makes me melt.

Seth's 5th Birthday - part 1

Let the festivities begin!  Seth started the day with breakfast in bed.  We also were able to celebrate his birthday at his school.  A big thank you to Nana and Great-Gram who were able to come and celebrate with us.  Nana even got to read the class a book about starting kindergarten.  It was so special to have both of you there - thank you!!!

Set wanted lunch from his favorite restaurant in JP - the purple cactus so I drove over there to get two cheese burritos.  Once home Seth picked a movie to watch and we finished off the day with hotdogs for dinner (Seth really likes food!).  Thank you to everyone for the wonderful calls and cards to celebrate our amazing 5 year old!

Happy 5th Birthday Seth

We want to wish Seth a very, very, very happy 5th birthday!  I cannot believe our first baby is 5 years old!  Seth we love you so very much.  You have filled our lives with so much laughter and joy that I cannot begin to explain it all.  If you have been following the blog since the beginning you are merely getting a glimpse into the life of our amazing boy.  Seth constantly amazes us with his kindness towards others, humor, intelligence and sweetness.  We love being your parents - you are truly a blessing to your family and your friends.  Let the celebrations begin!!!

Passover fun at Nana's

The Passover fun continued at Nana's house all through the weekend.  The rest of Jerald's siblings were staying at Nana's house for Passover so the boys had a great time playing with all of their cousins.  It's amazing how big the crew is getting (see below - Nana ran out of room on her lap, so Justin had to "fly" in from behind).  Everyone had a great time playing, relaxing, acting out the story of Passover, and just hanging out for a few days.  Thank you so much to Nana for hosting us all and for all of the food and preparation we know went into it - your work does not go unnoticed or unappreciated and all the boys had so much fun at your house!

Seder #2 - Videos

Seder #2 in Boston

Today we headed back to Boston just in time for the second seder at Nana's house.  We were so happy to be able to have the seder with Nana, Aunt Sara, Uncle Josh, Zev, and Uncle Jono.  Nana cooked up a storm - everything was delicious!  The boys had a great time singing all the songs and telling the passover story that Nana had been working on with them.  The boys got to stay up so late!  By 8:45 Justin said that he wanted to go to bed - but Seth made it to the very end of the seder (and was so proud) and finally went to bed around 11:30!  Thanks to Nana for a wonderful seder - there will be lots more matzah and fun at her house during the week.  We love you!!!

Seder #1 - Videos

Seder #1 in NY

Happy Passover!  We had a wonderful first seder in NY at Grandma and Pa's house.  Grandma did such an amazing job!  Not only did she cook the food (delicious!) she also led the seder (we missed you Great-Pa!  Mom did you proud!) she also had a screaming Justin on her lap for most of the meal.  It was a wonderful way to start the holiday.  We were so happy to share the seder with Uncle Joshy, Aunt Shir and her parents and Susan and Rob.

This is a funny picture of Pa being silly and the boys loving every minute of it!  Thanks for a wonderful visit - we really appreciate all the hard work that goes into having us there.  We love you!!

Kobe's Birthday Party

One of my oldest friends Yael came to NY from Hawaii with her husband and little boy Kobe to spend time with family and see friends.  They threw a 2nd birthday party for Kobe and invited us all (I can't believe I don't have a picture of Kobe to share - sorry!).  It was so much fun getting to see some of my oldest and dearest friends.... Yael, Debbie, Ivy, Rebecca, Brian and Danny.  The playspace for the party was so much fun so everyone had a blast.  A lot of cute pictures below...

Shir's Bridal Shower

We headed down to NY yesterday to enjoy a weekend of fun before the big passover festivities.  Up first - soon-to-be Aunt Shir's Bridal Shower.  What a really wonderful afternoon.  It was full of smiles, hugs, laughs, yummy food and a lot of love!  What a pleasure it was for me to be kid and baby free (thanks Jerald!) for a couple of hours to spend time with Shir and to meet some of her friends and family.  It was also nice to spend time with my family and family friends.  Near the end of the party the boys arrived and got to enjoy dessert with us.  A really fun time all around.  We cannot wait to have Shir an official member of our family.  We love you!
