Gra & Pa Visit

We had another great visit from Gra and Pa (as Seth calls his Grandma and Grandpa).

Jerald had the great idea to go to the Zoo which is 5 minutes from our house. We walked around a bit outside - but mostly stuck to the inside exhibits where we saw birds, snakes and gorillas. Everyone had a great time.
Then we all went to a yummy Japanese dinner. Seth loves Japanese food - he ate edamame, rice, miso soup and vegetable tempora!

Getting Ready for Chanukah

Today we went to Nana's house to "help" her and Aunt Na make Chanukah cookies. It was fun watching Aunt Na and Nana make a mess - we didn't make it until the end. Hopefully we will get to taste the end result soon!

Happy Turkey Day!

What a wonderful day! Seth's Grandma cooked up a storm. It was an amazingly yummy dinner - and Seth loved every minute of it. It was so fantastic to spend an uninterrupted day with my Grandma, Grandpa, Dad, Mom, Brother, Husband and Son. I know I have a lot to be thankful for!

Playgroup at Ronak's House

What a fun playgroup we had today. Six little boys running around! Seth grabbed a cookie off the table and then ran and hid in the corner to eat it. He is sneaky!

Sunday Brunch

We went to Nana's house today for brunch to see her Aunt and Uncle who were in town for a visit. Seth really enjoyed being around so many of his Aunts and Uncles, playing with a new kitchen that Nana bought for her house, and eating yummy waffles.

Fancy Night Out!

Long story, but we have owed Jerald's brother, Josh, and his wife, Sara, a fancy dinner for years. Tonight we paid up! We took them to dinner at L'Espalier! What an amazing experience.

First off, we had a very big accomplishment before even leaving the house. After Seth's bad sleeping - we are finally back on track - and our new babysitter even put him to sleep without us! How amazing?

Anyway - we had an 8:30 reservation and after something like 9 different courses we got home at 1:30 am! But it was amazing. The food, the atmosphere, our waiter, our sommelier, and of course the company were out of this world.

I am getting hungry just thinking about it!

Busy Day

Seth and I had a very busy day today...
He had his second haircut. To make him sit still I fed him 5 animal crackers!
We did some other errands and had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory where we split a grilled cheese sandwich and french fries. How cute does his new haircut look?
Then we drove over to Harvard Square to meet up with my friend Ivy who is in town staffing a teen tour. It was wonderful getting to spend some time with her!
Back at home we went to the park and then took a walk. We are both pooped!

Today we did a bunch of errands and then had our friends Erica and Mike over for dinner. What a busy weekend!

Happy Birthday Jerald

Seth and I were so happy that Jerald's birthday fell on a weekend this year so we could spend the whole day with him. We let him sleep in until 8:30! (he got up on his own - I promise we didn't wake him!). Then we took a family trip to the Aquarium (pictures to come) where we had so much fun. And then back at home, I cooked a gourmet meal for the birthday boy...

Birthday Party - Part II ~ the cake ~

We thought the cake deserved its own post. A little background first. Seth's favorite song is "Old MacDonald" so we thought a farm themed cake was appropriate. We got the cake from this amazing bakery in Brookline, Party Favors. And look how wonderful it came out!

The whole group sang "Happy Birthday" and Seth smiled, totally enjoying all the attention. He even helped us blow out the candle.
We fed him is first piece of cake and then let him at it.

Of course he loved every bite!
