Nana

We had a crazy busy day today - with a lot of appointments, school and other running around. Nana had the boys at our house today. Seth and Nana took a break in the afternoon to watch a little tv with popcorn! As always - thank you Nana!!!

Justin's First Photo Shoot

Today, Justin had his first photo shoot. All I can say is, what a mellow baby do we have on our hands! Due to a crazy schedule in the morning - Justin didn't sleep very much. He had only been sleeping for 15 minutes by the time it was ready for the photos. The photographer actually started with him sleeping! Justin also hadn't eaten in over two hours (which is a long time for him during the day). So he was hungry, tired, and disoriented in a new place with some strange guy sticking a giant camera in his face with huge lights surrounding him. Justin was great. He tolerated us all - never once crying! We got some great pictures and I quickly fed him after it was over and he took a long nap! I know this is not a great picture - but all the photos are saved by the company. When we order prints I will scan them in.

Moby

Around 5-6pm Justin gets a little grumpy and often needs a little nap to make it to bedtime. During the week, and sometimes on the weekends, I put Justin in the Moby wrap and "wear" him while he sleeps and I cook dinner. It works out for everyone! I don't know how long my back can take it - but we will keep going till it gives out...

3 Months Old!!!

Justin is now three months old. The time is flying by so fast. Our newborn is now a real baby. He is awake a lot of the time during the day - and really paying attention to the world around him. He is smiling and laughing. He is quite ticklish under his neck and in his armpits! He has started "playing" with some toys - meaning he appears to be intentionally swatting at various toys. He continues to be a sweet boy and we are all enjoying getting to know him better each day.

Justin's First Trip to the Zoo

It was maybe not the most exciting experience for Justin. First, it was cold outside, so we only got to see a small sample of the animals. We spent most of our time in the gorilla house. Second, Justin slept for 2/3 of our time at the zoo. But when he was awake he did seem happy and looking at his surroundings.

We met my friend Jill from college and her son Jake for his first trip to the zoo also. It was great seeing the two of them!

Double stroller

trying out one of our new double strollers. Thanks Nana!!!

Justin's First Date...

with an older woman! Dillan is 9 days older than Justin. Yes, Justin is bigger than Dillan - but not as big as it looks in the pictures because he is higher in my arms than Dillan is. Anyway, Seth, Justin and I had a wonderful playdate with one of Seth's classmates, Tori, her older sister Brooke and her younger sister Dillan.

Another Great Visit

We had another great visit with Grandma and Pa for the long weekend. They both got some quality Justin and Seth time. Seth is usually good about sharing his toys but does not like to share Grandma and Pa - we are working on it!

See Grandma - it is very hard to get a picture of the two boys!

Of course, Grandma and Pa took Seth to the indoor playspace so he could be "Captain Seth and the Space Patrol!" Apparently, it was a zoo with the weekend and school vacation - but they had fun as always.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

I got to spend the morning with my three guys!
Seth and I were busy baking. Every year I make Jerald cookies for Valentine's day. This year I made - Chocolate Chip, Pistachio, Cherry - they were awesome! Seth and I also made glutten free brownies for Pa - not as yummy, but Pa was very happy!

Shabbat Helper

Each week, one of the students in Seth's class is the Shabbat Helper. Once they had all done it once, and the school year was well under way, when a student is the Shabbat Helper their family is invited to class for the event. Seth was lucky enough to have Mommy, Daddy, Justin and Nana all in attendance today. We missed Grandma and Pa - maybe next one?

We all got there at 10:15 a.m. for the event. It started with circle time, where Bat-Sheva (one of Seth's teachers, on the left) led the class in some Shabbat songs. Seth's favorite is "Bim Bam" which they are singing in the picture.

After some singing songs and giving tzedekah (charity) the Shabbat Helper takes the torah out of the "ark" and carries it around to the class to kiss while we all were singing. It was so cute watching Seth carefully carry the torah and all the kids reaching out to kiss it!

We then all sit down at the table, where we said the prayers for the candles, juice, and challah.

Then it is time to eat!
Seth did a fantastic job as the Shabbat Helper! It was really wonderful to see him in the class setting. It was really a special day!
