15 lbs 10 ounces!

Seth had his four month old doctors appointment today and yes he now weighs 15 lbs and 10 ounces and is 25 1/2 inches long. Which puts him in the 75% for both weight and height. Seth was a very brave boy as he received his shots and is doing just great.

And after a strike of two weeks - Seth rolled over from his stomach to his back not once but twice this morning.

Ball Pit

Seth graduated from his second Mother's Group. In celebration of the last day of the class, the facilitator constructed a ball pit. Seth was interested for a short time and then was ready for his nap.

The best part of yesterday was when Seth was getting his bath. Lauren was washing him with a white washcloth and Seth kept trapping it in his feet. Lauren began dangling it in front of him and Seth kept breaking out into hysterics. This lasted for over ten minutes! Hopefully we can recreate the laughter soon.

Visiting Ellyn

On our way home from Rochester we stopped by to visit Lauren's good friend from college Ellyn and her husband Jon. It was great seeing them and introducing them to Seth. Seth was smiling a lot during our visit - but refused to let us capture it on camera. Hopefully, they will come to visit Boston soon!

4 Months Old

Another month has flown by! In the past month Seth has rolled over from his front to his back, spent a lot of time sucking on his pointer finger, and finally has started "playing" with is toys (which mostly means sticking them in his mouth ~ but sometimes means swatting them).

Seth at Meredith's Wedding

So here are the pictures you all have been waiting for... Seth at Meredith's wedding. Once again he came through when we needed him. He slept through the ceremony and was really good at the party before falling asleep. Here are the rest of the pictures from the wedding. Unfortunately, Lauren stopped taking pictures before she got a good one of the bride and groom - but hopes one of the other bridesmaids will email her one to share on the blog.

Seriously, how cute is his outfit?

Meredith & Chris' Wedding

We had a fantastic time celebrating Meredith & Chris' Wedding. Meredith and Lauren have been friends for almost ten years now. Meredith is the friend everyone is lucky to have in their life. She is a "ray of sunshine" as Lauren's Mom always refers to her. We were so happy that we could be there to support and celebrate Meredith & Chris on their special day.

Below is a picture of former University of Rochester Debaters with our coach, friend and mentor Sam Nelson. Who is now a traitor to the cause as he now is the coach at rival Cornell. But it was fantastic seeing him!

Rehearsal Dinner in Rochester

On Friday we made the long trek to Rochester, NY (6 hours in the car). One of Lauren's best friends from college, Meredith, was getting married. We made it just in time for Lauren to practice, yet again, walking down the aisle as a bridesmaid!

Visible From Space

Our good friend Judd's band, Visible From Space, has their first album out. They have a really cool funky sound. Check them out here and you can even purchase their album at iTunes.

In Nana's Arms

Seth had a fantastic time spending the day and evening with his Nana while Lauren and Jerald celebrated their anniversary with drinks by the pool and dinner.

Rollin', Rollin', Rollin'

This morning Seth officially rolled over from his front to his back. Now he has a way of getting out of the mandated "tummy time." The cool thing is that both Lauren and Jerald were there to witness the event!

Here is Jerald and Seth after the excitement of the morning.

Fun with toys

Seth now likes to play with some of his toys. As you can see above when we put the ball on his tummy he grabs it with his hands and brings his knees up and then promptly tries to put the whole thing in his mouth.

Below you can see when the bird is placed on Seth's tummy he grabs it with both hands and tries to put it in his mouth.

Pretty much ~ Seth likes to put things in his mouth!

And for those of you that get their giggles out of gross things happening to other people - Lauren and Seth started their day at 7:00 am with Seth peeing all over them and his changing table. Throughout the event Seth had a great big smile on his face.

Happy Anniversary to Us!

Today is our three year wedding anniversary... In some ways it seems much longer than that in all that we have done and been through since then but it some ways it feels like we were married yesterday.

This was a picture we took on our wedding day!

Baby Foosball

In Lauren & Seth's class this week they played "Baby Foosball." Unfortunately, we don't have any pictures to share so you will have to use your imagination. Each Mom held her baby under the arms. When the beach ball came toward them the Mom lowered the baby and swung him/her so the feet would kick the ball. The babies all seemed kind of confused but the Mom's enjoyed it!

And for those of you who don't know what foosball is...

Happy Birthday Dad/Grandpa

Seth had a very special birthday message for his Grandpa (Lauren's father). Grandpa/Dad did say that this was the best birthday card ever! I think that we will be saving lots of money buy not buying from Hallmark anymore! Getting this picture was easier said than done. Here are all the other attempts.

But Happy Birthday to Grandpa/Dad/Phil - we love you so much! Thank you for your never ending love, support, guidance and caring.

Visiting Great-Grandaddy

We had a great visit with Jerald's Grandaddy and Seth's Great-Grandaddy yesterday. Grandaddy had a huge smile on his face during our entire visit. Even when Seth was crying and pooping!

Feet

Seth can now grab his feet and roll to his side!!!

Bathing

Seth (aka the Volcano) needs frequent baths to clean off his constant spit up. He seems to enjoy them though. His new skill is splashing in the bath - oh what fun for us!

First Trip to the Park

What a busy and exciting weekend! On Sunday we all went to the park. Lauren took him down a slide (Lauren was more scared then Seth). Grandma and Jerald took him on a swing and Grandpa took many wonderful pictures!

A big dip

Grandma & Grandpa came with us to the pool. Seth took his biggest dip in the pool yet. He was in there for about 20 minutes. As you can see he looks interested in the pool and maybe a bit confused. No tears though! We are hoping for some smiles in the pool in the near future.

Grandma & Grandpa Visit

Lauren's parents (aka Grandma and Grandpa) came to Boston to visit Seth. We had a fantastic time with them. Seth loved all the attention, hugs, kisses and playtime. More pictures to come...

Post Bath

Here is Seth after his bath sucking away on those fingers. He has found his thumb only briefly. For now he prefers the whole hand or his pointer. He still hates his pacifier and now has been refusing to sleep at night for more than three hours at a time. On the positive side he has begun to nap on his own during the day which leaves plenty of time for Lauren to post to the blog (and to do things like shower and the dishes).

Tummy Time

Seth is finally tolerating tummy time. He is getting so much stronger. Today he rolled on his side for the first time!
