Seth's Big Weekend

While Jerald and I were celebrating our early 5 year wedding anniversary in NYC, Seth was having a blast with his Grandma and Pa at their house on Long Island. These are just some highlights of the weekend (taking lots of pictures really runs in the family!)

Seth loves watering plants - and Grandma promised him he could water flowers with Pa.

I am told that Seth loved the beach. Grandma thought Seth would spend most of his time playing with the multitude of sand toys she bought - but Seth had other ideas and headed straight for the water.

And of course there had to be a trip to the park!

Thank you Mom and Dad! Jerald and I had a fantastic celebratory weekend and from the looks of it Seth had an equally fantastic weekend with the two of you. All of our love!!!

Heading back to Boston with visits along the way...

Our first stop on our journey back home was at our friend Debbie's house to visit her new baby Dylan. Debbie and I have been friends since 4th grade! It was great to spend time with her and Dylan. They are both doing fantastic! She has started a blog if you want to see more pictures.

We then drove for a couple of hours and stopped off to see Seth's Great-Gram. We had a lot of fun catching up with her. Seth had a blast playing with some toys, reading books and coloring with Great-Gram. We love you and we are so glad we got to spend some time with you!!!

Big Weekend in NYC - Day 3

We started the day by meeting our good friends Rebecca, her son Ben, Brian, Adam and Ben for a yummy brunch. It was fun to spend time with little Ben (and everyone else) - but made us miss Seth!

We then headed to a matinee of this hilarious show Boeing, Boeing (no pictures of us outside it was raining) and ended the day by going to this amazing Kosher seafood/steakhouse. The current executive chef is the season 3 winner of the television show Top Chef.
As you can see Jerald was in heaven!!!
With our bellies very full of meat we headed back out to the Island to spend some time with my parents before we make our way back home tomorrow.

Big Weekend in NYC - Day 2

We started out our second day in the city by meeting up with Vicky for breakfast! One of my best friends from college. She is due with her first baby in a few weeks. It was great to see her. The last time we saw her - I think she was only 4 weeks pregnant! So here are our babies during their first "kiss."
We spent the middle of the day relaxing in the apartment, although Jerald braved the hot weather and went for a walk. We then went to a yummy Italian dinner and then saw Spamalot. We loved it! I think Jerald was laughing so hard at one point he was crying. It was a really fun show and we had great seats!

Big Weekend in NYC - Day 1

Our five year wedding anniversary is later this summer. As an early present, my parents got us a weekend in NYC! They took Seth for the weekend and we are staying in their NYC apartment. How fun???

After leaving Seth at my parents house, we headed into the city and met up with our good friends Sarah and Judd. Jerald and Sarah met while they were in college. We don't get to see them very often - so it was such a treat to get to spend time with them and catch up.

Big News

We had our big 18 week ultrasound today and we got wonderful news. The baby looks great - we saw his hands, feet, heart, brain, cute little face! We are overjoyed to be expecting another boy. And we are sure, once Seth figures out what is going on, he will be thrilled to be having a brother! I hope to scan in the ultrasound pictures next week!

2 cuddlys?

On our way to Nana's house for the big birthday party - Seth got into the bag with his nap stuff. All of a sudden he had cuddly and gym cuddly both wrapped around him. As you can see, he is very serious when it comes to the cuddlys.

Great-Grandaddy's 95th Birthday Party

Great-Grandaddy's (Jerald's Paternal Grandfather) family and friends came together to celebrate an amazing milestone. His 95th Birthday!!! We ate, laughed, told stories, and Great-Grandaddy showed off his 4 grandchildren, 3 grandchildren-in-law, and his 2 great-grandchildren!
We were all thrilled to be together celebrating with him. We love you very much!!!

Block Party!!!

We had a lot of fun at our 2nd block party since moving to these parts. The turnout wasn't so large - but we still had a great time.

Party in the Arboretum

Today we enjoyed the beautiful weather by celebrating our friend Sophia's 2nd birthday in the Arboretum by our house. The kids had so much fun, eating, blowing bubbles, playing with balls and chasing each other.
Seth and Ronak were drawn to some interesting toys. Seth to this silver pom pom and Ronak to this ribbon. I could not stop laughing every time I saw the two of them running after each other with the pom pom and ribbon waving in the wind behind them.

At the Gym

While Sarita and I work out at the gym - Seth and Ronak have so much fun in the childcare room. They chase each other and make-up silly games. When I came to get Seth this afternoon - they would both sit on this pillow thing and then fall off. They were laughing so hard. It is so great they have each other!
