Happy Birthday!

Happy, happy, happy birthday to my Mom and Seth's Grandma (aka "Ra"). I know we do not need to tell you how amazingly wonderful you are. That you are one of my biggest inspirations, source of never ending support and encouragement, and best friend. But I guess I just did.

Happy Birthday!

Heading Home

After an amazingly wonderful week in New York, it was time to head back to Boston. I really cannot express how truly special it was to be surrounded by so many people who care about us. Just watching my Grandparents and Parents and Brother play, laugh, and watch Seth filled me with indescribable joy. Thank you!

Children's Museum on the Island

While Jerald and I stayed overnight in Seth's Grandma and Grandpa's new apartment in the City - they took Seth to a wonderful Children's Museum out on Long Island. Now I was not there - but from the pictures and how tired Seth was after they got back, it seems like a great time was had by all!

Happy Turkey Day!

What a wonderful day! Seth's Grandma cooked up a storm. It was an amazingly yummy dinner - and Seth loved every minute of it. It was so fantastic to spend an uninterrupted day with my Grandma, Grandpa, Dad, Mom, Brother, Husband and Son. I know I have a lot to be thankful for!

Sleeping and Cleaning

After a wild night at Foxwoods with his two brothers, Jerald took the train down to New York to be with us. Clearly we both needed some more sleep.

Seth was still having a ball at "Ra" and "Pa's" house - so much so, that he decided to start earning his keep!

Great Grandparents / Camp Starlight Reunion

Today was a great day! First, my grandparents (Seth's great grandparents) flew in from florida for the holiday. It has been way too long since we have seen them!

In the evening, I went to NYC for my camp bunk reunion. We all met when we were 8 or 9 years old. It was so much fun to catch up and reminisce. I am not organized enough to upload any funny pictures from back in the day... but this is a gorgeous picture of the camp.

Arrived in New York

Today, Seth and I drove down to NY all by ourselves! Seth was wonderful in the car. He slept for two hours and then enjoyed his early Hanukkah present, and watched 2+ hours of a DVD! Upon our arrival, he was so happy to be with "Ra" (that is what he now calls his Grandma). And Ra was so happy to be with Seth.

Seth quickly reacquainted himself with my parents house...
and found some new toys along the way.

2 kids?

No we are not making any announcements - there are no babies in our immediate future. That is actually not true - in a couple of months Seth will be getting a cousin!!! But how cute do Jerald and Seth look with our new friend Xander?

Playgroup at Ronak's House

What a fun playgroup we had today. Six little boys running around! Seth grabbed a cookie off the table and then ran and hid in the corner to eat it. He is sneaky!

Living with a Foreign Exchange Student

Who is this foreign exchange student, you might ask? His name is Seth. In recent weeks, Seth has gone through a language explosion. He is constantly talking. He likes to identify things and people. He repeats words he hears or things he wants. It is all really fun and exciting. The problem happens when we don't know what he is saying. Sometimes he has just made up his own word for something, but has neglected to tell us. Other times he is pronouncing something in a way we cannot identify it. So the game becomes, trying to figure out what he is saying.

The other day, Seth turns to me and says "gablablapa." Or something like that. I, not know quite what that means, say, "garbage?" Seth looks directly at me and very slowly says, "No, gablablapa." He said it so slowly and with such care, it almost seemed he was thinking "No, stupid, I didn't say garbage I said gablablapa. How can you not know what that means!" Hence, I feel like we are living with a foreign exchange student and we are constantly working on creating a common language.

Still having fun in class

Seth really seems to love the classes we take. He still loves these foam structures, singing songs, and blowing bubbles. It is really fun to watch him thrive in these classes. He always makes me smile!

Sunday Brunch

We went to Nana's house today for brunch to see her Aunt and Uncle who were in town for a visit. Seth really enjoyed being around so many of his Aunts and Uncles, playing with a new kitchen that Nana bought for her house, and eating yummy waffles.
