Children's Museum

Today we went to the Children's Museum for the first time. It was closed all winter for renovations and before that we thought Seth was too little to enjoy it. Well he enjoyed it today! We met our friends Ronak, Dylan and Mae at the museum. We started in the 0-3 playroom where Seth enjoyed a kind of water ball pit.

We then ate lunch and headed to... the wind room. The kids thought this room was so cool (as did the Moms). On these tables you can put plastic tubes on it and let the green balls fly up in the air. Seth kept saying "ohhhh!"

Then there was a wind machine to help make pinwheels move. Seth had a hard time leaving his pinwheel behind.
We ended our visit back in the 0-3 play area. Seth and Ronak were so funny in this car. Seth was actually moving the wheel back and forth while Ronak played with the radio.

We had such a great time at the museum we are planning on another trip very soon.

Playgroup at the Park

Since the weather has been beautiful lately, we decided to take our tuesday playgroup to the park. We had a picnic lunch and then let the kids loose. They had fun in the sandbox, on the swings, and Seth and Mae had fun on this swing set thingy.

Really Moving

Seth is not walking yet - but he is doing a great job of moving and getting into everything.
Boy is he fast!

Weekend Fun

We had a really busy but fun weekend.... Saturday we went to the park and then we had Ronak and his parents over for some swimming and dinner. Sunday we took a fun trip to Ikea and then went out to dinner with Xander and his parents to a yummy Tapas restaurant near our old apartment. Today we did a bunch of errands and then had our friends Erica and Mike over for dinner. What a busy weekend!

In the Pool with Dad

Jerald was home from work for two days this week to celebrate Shavout. The weather was so beautiful my guys decided to take a dip in the pool.

Seth had so much fun in the pool with Dad. He also had so much fun with Dad home. Seth has definitely entered a "dad phase." When Jerald goes to work Seth searches the whole apartment for him. It is kind of sad - but cute.

What a big boy! Seth swimming on his own?

Celebrate Israel Festival

Today we drove out to Gillette Stadium (where the Patriots play) for a festival celebrating Israel. It was a tad overcrowded and warm in the field house but we ate yummy falafel and Seth got another balloon to take home with him.

First Trip to the Aquarium

We had a great time at the Aquarium celebrating Jerald's birthday. Seth's favorites were the tropical fish and the penguins.

It was so cute watching Seth standing at this window watching the fish swim.

Seth was mesmerized by the penguins. We stood there watching them for 20 minutes.

Happy Birthday Jerald

Seth and I were so happy that Jerald's birthday fell on a weekend this year so we could spend the whole day with him. We let him sleep in until 8:30! (he got up on his own - I promise we didn't wake him!). Then we took a family trip to the Aquarium (pictures to come) where we had so much fun. And then back at home, I cooked a gourmet meal for the birthday boy...

Partners in Crime

Seth and Xander have known each other since they were 2 1/2 months. Lately they are so funny to watch when they are together. Yesterday afternoon, Emily and Xander ventured out into the rain to come and visit us. Seth and Xander would always be in the same part of the apartment. One would crawl into the kitchen and so would the other one. One would start playing with a ball the other one would want to as well. I swear they talk to each other by Seth's "Ohhh" and Xanders grunts.

Mother's Day BBQ

We had a great time celebrating Mother's Day at Seth's Uncle Josh (aka Uncle Beard, aka Uncle Weird) and Aunt Sara's.

Seth loved all the attention from Aunt Naomi, Uncle Jason, Uncle Jono, the hosts and Nana. Seth also loved hot dogs and hamburgers for dinner!

Happy Mother's Day Blogmaster

For those who don't know, Lauren deserves all of the credit for this amazing blog, and for constantly keeping it up-to-date - but Seth and I are taking over for today to wish her a Happy Mother's Day.

As you've all seen Seth grow, and smile, and laugh and learn over the last year, it's in large part due to Lauren's love and attention! It's been amazing watching her with Seth all year - her patience, her warmth and her mom-ness. Happy Mother's Day!

First Haircut

The time had finally come where we couldn't let Seth's curls run wild anymore. Some people could barely recognize him with his crazy hair. So today we took him to Snip-Its for his first haircut. He was a good boy - and mostly sat calmly in the chair munching on animal crackers.

And here he is - our big boy!

Water Play

We had a good time in class today. We were the first to arrive so Seth got his pick of which naked weird dolls to play with.

Then some of Seth's friends arrived... Ronak . . .
Mae . . .

and Eli . . .

During the second half of class we had water play. We decided to strip the kids down so their clothes didn't get wet. All of this work was for nothing because we all got soaked after class because it was pouring in Boston.
