Spending time with Nana

Seth has been lucky enough to spend a LOT of time with his Nana over the last month as I packed, met people to do work on the house, and unpacked. Thank you so much for taking care of Seth whenever and wherever we needed it. I know Seth has really enjoyed all this extra time with you - and it has been beyond invaluable to us. THANK YOU!

Most recently, Seth was at his Nana's while I was unpacking and got to play in a kiddie pool that Nana bought special for him. I am told he loved sitting in it but also enjoyed sitting next to it and throwing grass into the pool.

Time with Grandma & Grandpa

We would not have been able to move without the help of our parents. Thank you to Seth's Grandma, Grandpa and Nana. Seth's Grandma was just amazing last week. She came up on tuesday and didn't leave until Sunday when she knew we had things under control. She had a never ending supply of energy for packing, unpacking, cleaning, organizing, list making, encouraging, motivating, and of course playing with and caring for Seth. All we can say is THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Through all the craziness Seth had a fantastic time playing with and bonding further with his Grandma. It was great to watch.

Seth's Grandpa was working last week but took the train to Boston friday afternoon. His main job was to watch, feed, play and entertain Seth. As you can see from the picture, he did a phenomenal job. Seth thinks his Grandpa is hysterical. The two of them giggled as they explored the house and the neighborhood. Seth's Grandpa also made millions of trips up and down our many stairs helping organize the house. THANK YOU!

New House

We are officially moved in. For any of you who didn't receive an email from us with our new contact information who wants it just let us know. Friday was one of the longest days of our lives. It took 4 big movers 11 1/5 hours to move us 15 minutes away from our old apartment. There were some unforeseen problems like some of our furniture not fitting up the stairs to our bedroom but it was all worth it. We are busy unpacking and doing fun things that homeowners do like buying curtains and garbage cans. Soon we will be ready for visitors - who is coming to see us?

Goodbye Cambridge

Today is move day! Sorry for all of those we have been out of touch with recently and sorry that there have not been new pictures all week. Moving stinks! We have been lucky enough to have Seth's Grandma here helping all week. Without her we would not be moving today.

We have lived here for 4 years and our departure is bittersweet. But we are so excited for our new house and expect lots of you to visit soon!

WALKING!

Seth took his first steps today when he was home alone with Dad. When Seth's Grandma and I came home from the new house we got to see him walk 4 steps by himself! Hopefully we will get video and/or pictures soon.

Happy Father's Day

We had a great day celebrating with Jerald. We started the day by letting him "sleep in." I think he got up by 7:45 a.m.! Then Seth and I made chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. After Seth's morning nap and some furniture shopping we all went in the pool (maybe for the last time because we move this week!). The afternoon got busy with packing and house stuff but I think we showed Jerald how much we love and appreciate him.

Jerald is truly the best. He is an amazing Dad. Even after an incredible long day at work he will make sure he is home to spend quality time with Seth and to give me a break. Watching Jerald and Seth together always makes me smile. Seth is just so happy to be with his Dad - who always invents new games and finds new ways to make him laugh. Like this picture - I am not sure who came up with the idea - but it became very fun to throw balls under the couch and then take them back out again. Jerald we love and appreciate everything you do!

And a happy father's day to Seth's Grandpa, Seth's Great-Grandpa, Seth's Great-Grandaddy, and Seth's Zeyde.

Jukebox

Today we took another trip to The Children's Museum and Emily and Xander came with us. The boys had a great time in the music room and were fascinated by the jukebox.

Snuggle Bunny?

Seth has never been a cuddler - but last night at dinner he kept snuggling into my arm. He would pull away and then grab back on - hug my arm and lay his head down. It was the cutest thing!

Sunday at Nana's House

This move has totally taken over our life! We have been spending most of our free time packing, moving, cleaning, and buying stuff for our move. Yesterday Seth's Nana took care of him for the day so we could do fun things like spend hours in The Container Store and Home Depot.

Seth had a blast with Nana. They played with some of Seth's favorite toys, ate lunch, took a nap, and played out in Nana's backyard and even blew bubbles!
We would never be able to move without everyone's help - so thank you!

Celebrating 33 Years

Happy Anniversary to Eileen & Phil / Mom & Dad / Grandma & Grandpa.
We were lucky enough to celebrate part of the day with them as they stopped off with Uncle Joshy for a quick visit in Boston on their way to Lauren's cousin Wilson's college graduation from Dartmouth.

First Trip to Fenway

Today was "Corporate Day" at Fenway. Big companies in town pay big bucks to get access to Fenway for their employees and to have a select number of employees play a game on the field.

We decided this was an easy way for Seth to have his first visit to Fenway. He seemed to really enjoy the park. He watched Jerald's law firm play and fed Jerald french fries.

Making ourselves at home

Seth and I spent all morning at our new house while various pieces of our kitchen were delivered and installed. We were able to roll out this fun rug for Seth's new playroom.

We also had our first pizza delivery!

With the Train

Seth has loved this train since his Grandma and Grandpa got it for him for his birthday. He always had fun pushing it - but his legs would go so fast he would fall right over. So we would have to either hold one of his hands or hold the train so it wouldn't go so fast. Yesterday Seth figured out how to do it all on his own. He was walking back and forth in the apartment and down the hallway pushing the train and laughing so hard. Could walking on his own be that far behind?
