Science Museum Video

Science Museum

It is hard to believe but Seth has only been to the Science Museum once, and that was over a year ago. And Jerald wasn't even with us. What better way to spend a rainy Sunday morning than at the Science Museum.

Seth loved it. For a while he was running from room to room pushing every button he could get his hands on.

We even saw a live animal show featuring an opossum. We will definitely come back soon - it was a big hit!

Baby Mamas

We had a great night eating, catching up and watching " Baby Mama" with two sets of expecting parents. Ethan and Jess are due wit their first child, a girl, in less than two weeks! Rachel and Phil are also due with their first child, a boy, in the beginning of November. We had so much fun and wish them all the best!!!

Eating after Baking

Baking

Seth and I spent the rainy Friday afternoon in the kitchen baking Nana's famous blondies. Seth really got into the whole flour aspect of cooking.

Actually, his favorite part was eating!

Back to NY

Grandma and Pa left for home today. We all had so much fun with them visiting and were sad to see them go. In the afternoon, we were in our car and Seth was very quiet. I asked him if he was ok and he said "no." I asked what was the matter and he replied, "I miss Grandma and Pa." That says it all.

Fun day with Grandma & Pa!

Seth woke up to a big surprise this morning - Pa is here! Seth crawled right into bed with him for a snuggle. It was really cute. Pa then gave Seth a photo book from our trip to the Cape - called "The Secret Passageway." Seth loves it!

We then spent the morning walking around our neighborhood, checking out some yard sales. What a great picture Grandma took of the three of us. We realized we have very few of these.

Then we all went to one of Seth's favorite parks. With Grandma and Pa there, Jerald and I got to rest a little bit.

After naps and more playing, Grandma and Pa took Seth out to dinner and ice cream while Jerald and I went out to dinner with some friends. I don't think we have ever gotten a straight answer on what time Seth actually went to bed. But obviously Seth had a fantastic time!

In the backyard and Shabbat

Seth and Grandma had a lot of fun playing in our backyard while I cooked shabbat dinner for the 4 of us.

How cute are Jerald and Seth together getting ready for shabbat?

And yes, there was real wine in there!

30 Weeks!!!

Grandma visits & we all go to playgroup...

Grandma came to Boston this morning just in time to head to Mae's house for our weekly playgroup. Seth arrived in style....

We had so much fun eating cupcakes, doing art projects and playing with our friends.

It was great having Grandma there to meet everyone, to play and to take pictures that we could never get on our own!

Something edible?

I actually picked this tomato from our "garden." We are growing basil buy the buckets but everything else hasn't made it. I was shocked to see this red tomato. Haven't tasted it yet - but I am still excited!!!

Sticker Books

Let me be clear on this next point, Seth is sticker book CRAZY!!! The other night at dinner I literally said to Jerald, "thank g-d for sticker books!!!!" I try to bring a sticker book whenever we go out to dinner - which enables us to make it through a whole meal with all of us being able to eat. He gets so concentrated on them - it is really adorable. This is a sticker book that Great-Gram gave Seth over the summer. He has used it so much the stickers no longer stick - but he still loves it anyway.

In school news, Seth is still doing amazing. He is such a brave little man, marching right into class, giving me a big hug and kiss and going on with his day.

Second Day of School

No, I will not be doing a post for every day of school - but today was a big day! After the Moms/Grandma's played with the kids for 40 minutes, we gave hugs and kisses and said goodbye. We actually camped out in the next room - but the kids didn't know that. Seth was a star!!! He said goodbye and went on playing. His teachers tell me he did great - even when many of the other kids around him were crying! Near the end of their time in class I did get called in, not because Seth was upset, but because he spilled water on his clothes and since I was there and so many kids were having hard times, they thought it would be better to change him myself. I did it and then he went back to class with no tears or fuss! What an amazing guy!!! We then rejoined the kids to help them learn to hold onto the rope to walk to the playground. They got to play for 10 minutes and then we came back home. I hope every day is this easy. Seth was wonderful, confident, and seemed to have a great time. I am just so proud of him! Below are pictures of him on the playground.
