Purim 2013

The Purim festivities actually started the week before vacation.  Seth had a week long of purim events - carnival, crazy hat day, sports day, backwards day and pajama day.  Justin had a dress up and carnival day.  When we came home from NY we got to work on our hamantaschen making.  Messy - but tasty...  Seth and I made our own noise makers.

This is the cool noise maker Justin made at school.

We celebrated last night at the temple where Justin goes to pre-school - it was a Billy Joel theme.  Jerald and I thought it was fun to sing the megillah to Billy Joel songs - they boys liked dancing around to Gangnam Style and Call Me Maybe!

This morning we went to our shul to hear the megillah again and to do some purim crafts and of course eat more hamantaschen.  Happy Purim!

Playgroup Next Generation

Camp Starlight memories...

We had the most fun playdate with one of my oldest friends (we met in Nursery school!).  My boys had a great time playing with Stef's adorable kids Jake and Samantha.  Stefanie has started researching sleep-away camps for Jake for next summer.  We got to watch Camp Starlight (the camp we went to) promo dvd.  What a fun blast from the past!

Not a goodbye....

If you read this blog you will have read a ton about Sarita and her boy Ronak.  Sarita and I met when Seth and Ronak were just six weeks old in a new Mom's class.  We were instant friends.  We got through the really hard beginning years with a first baby together.  Our baby's grew to be boys together always taking pride in the fact that they had known each other for so long.  They are moving away from Boston this week.  I have known it has been coming for a long time but it doesn't make it any easier.  A huge hole will be left in our families day to day life once they move away.  Luckily, they are not moving too far away and Sarita and I have already set up a weekly phone date.  We love you!!!

3 of my Valentines...

Tea Party

Justin has the most creative teachers!  This week they built a castle out of duct tape and paper towel rolls.  Today all the kids dressed up for their special tea party.  I went in to Justin's class yesterday to help bake muffins and scones for today.  They had a tea party where they all practiced good manners.  Beyond cute - Justin couldn't stop talking about it.
