Trick or Treat?

We had a lot of fun trick or treating in our apartment building. See how interested Spiderman was at the shiny candy.

Look at Mommy with her new short hair!

Of course Daddy got big smiles because he came home early to go trick or treating.

We walked through the building with a couple of other families. How cute are the lion and tiger holding hands with their tails wagging?

Halloween

Seth is Spiderman for Halloween! How cute is the costume? He didn't even seem to mind the mask too much.
After a while, we decided he could just wear it on his head. Either way, we think he is the cutest superhero!!!
As for Halloween festivities: on Sunday we went to a party with a bunch of other families and this afternoon we are going trick-or-treating in our building. This year is the best - because Seth can't eat any candy, but his parents can!!!

Happy Birthday Nana!

Last night, we went to Nana's house to have dinner and celebrate her birthday (a day early). Seth had fun seeing Nana and playing with his aunts and uncles (at least until bed time got near) and will get more time to have fun with just Nana today when she comes over for some more birthday fun. Happy Birthday Nana. We love you and wish you a very happy birthday!!!

Another great

visit with Seth's Grandma and Grandpa.

We had so much fun with a too short visit from Seth's Grandma and Grandpa. But Seth did get a lot of playtime in.
This is a picture of Seth's Grandma's latest invention to prevent clothing stains from Seth's spit up. Within the first couple of minutes of putting on the towel-poncho Seth spit up right down the neck opening. What a smart boy!!!
Now doesn't this look like fun???

6 Months Old!

We can't believe how fast these past six months have gone. We have all come a long way. In the past month Seth has begun rolling over from his back to his front, sitting up on his own and sleeping on his tummy. Seth has also starting eating "real" food, including: rice cereal, peas, carrots, bananas and sweet potato. He has loved all the new food but still hates water.

16 lbs 10 oz

Today Seth had his 6 month check up (even though he won't be officially 6 months until friday). Everything looks great! Seth is 16 lbs 10 oz and 26 1/2 inches.

Yummy feet!

Today while Seth was getting his diaper changed he grabbed onto his right foot and stuck it in his mouth! He chewed on it for a while with this dopey smile on his face. Unfortunately, the camera was not near the changing table so no picture. Hopefully next time...

Playtime

Today we went over to our friends Doug and Sara's for brunch with some of Jerald's work friends. Seth and their son Noah had a great time playing together. And we had a great time eating all the yummy food! Look at Seth sitting up! He still needs a little hand every now and then to prevent falling over.

Head of the Charles

It was a beautiful sunny and cold day in Boston today. We walked to the river and spent some time at the Head of the Charles. We showed Seth the boats and we enjoyed hotdogs and kettle corn!

Look at me!

Seth can't stay still these days. We lay him on his back - and poof he is on his stomach looking around. Crawling can't be far away.... AHHHH!!!!

Last nice day?

Last week - it was a gorgeous day in Boston. We took advantage and headed to one of the many parks around our apartment. Seth loves laying on a blanket, looking up at the sky and trees. And of course he loves trying on Mommy's sunglasses!!!

I've got my feet!

One of Seth's new favorite things to do is to grab his feet and not let go.

Peas

Today we expanded Seth's repertoire and gave him peas for the first time. He seemed to like them. He didn't even make a bad face when he tasted it for the first time. It is so fun watching him try new things - but not so fun having everything covered in green peas!

Sleepy-time

Ummm - how cute is this! Jerald is getting ready to read Seth "Goodnight Moon" before bedtime - but clearly Seth has other ideas. Bedtime is right now!

Sitting up

Seth has been "tripod" sitting for a while. This is where we prop his hands on the floor or on his lap. He can then sit up until he falls to the side or folds in half. But today he really began sitting on his own. Everyday it is a new thing!

First "real" food

Today we fed Seth his first "real" food. For the past 5 1/2 months Seth has only been fed breastmilk. Today he had yummy rice cereal mixed with breastmilk. YUM? Seth seemed to enjoy it.

Tummy time on the parachute

In his weekly class called Social Butterflies, Seth's favorite part is when the parachute comes out. He loves when the breeze hits his face and when he can lay on it and it is shaking around him.

And yes that is a bald spot on the back of his head - from sleeping on his back.

Camouflage

Seth and Lauren took advantage of the nice whether and had a picnic with some of Seth's friends. Seth had fun with Eli, Ronak and Clyde looking at the trees and for the first time really looking at his friends.

Upside Down Fun

Seth loves it when his Daddy flips him upside down.
