Good Morning

This is how Seth greeted his Mom yesterday morning.

10 months old!!!

Big stuff happened this past month. The biggest was that Seth started crawling! He is so happy that when he wants something he can just go get it. Seth started refusing any foods that came on a spoon and insisted on feeding himself. And speaking of food, Seth ate his first cookie. Seth also played in his first Snow due to our crazy winter.

These pictures were too funny not to include. We will call these "Seth destroying the sign!"

Seth's Famous Grandpa

Seth's Grandpa (Lauren's Dad) is now a famous photographer! A couple of weeks ago this picture he took on a vacation in Prague last summer ran in Newsday. We have appreciated his beautiful pictures for a long time - and now everyone else can as well!

First Night Apart

Last night was Lauren's first night apart from Seth. Seth had a sleep over at his Nana's house. Nana and Seth had a great time together. And Lauren and Jerald knowing that Seth was safe and sound, had a great night out. We went for sushi and then saw a movie. The best part was that we slept in this morning! Lauren woke up at 9 and Jerald woke up at 9:30. For those of you without kids you are probably thinking this is not sleeping in at all. But we have been waking up at 7:00 am for 10 months - at the latest! We enjoyed our night away and sleeping in but we were thrilled to see Seth today.

Poker Buddies

One of Jerald's poker buddies Danny, his wife Shosh and son Sammy were in Boston this weekend. Danny and Seth's Uncle Josh were college roommates. The boys had a great time playing together. Sammy is 18 months old and he is fast on his feet. It has us really scared for when Seth starts walking!

How I Roll

One of Jerald's great friends from college, Sara, was in town for her bridal shower. Sara and her fiance Judd (of the great band Visible from Space) got Seth this funny onesie while ago. How cute? Lauren had a great time at her shower. Dave, Sara's Man of Honor, did the most amazing job with the food and organizing. Seth even got to eat some of the leftovers! We cannot wait for the wedding this April in New Orleans...

Crawling!

Today Seth started moving himself forward! He is not doing a "traditional" crawl. It is almost like an army man crawl. He gets his knees and feet going but gets his right shoulder stuck under him. We are sure he will figure it out soon. It is crazy to think how much our life has just changed now that Seth can move on his own...

First Snow

It is crazy but true... February 14th is Seth's first official snow. We had to bundle up for a couple of minutes to get this cute picture. When first Seth looked up at the sky and snow fell on his face he looked very confused. Quickly, his confused look turned to a great big smile. Our boy loves everything!

Lucky for us Jerald is working from home today because of the weather so we all get to spend Valentine's Day together!

First Cookie!

We had a great but short visit with Seth's Grandma and Grandpa this weekend. Seth's Grandma spoiled him with his first cookie. And of course he loved it!

Playdate Video

Playdate with Xander

On Saturday Xander and his parents Emily and Bill came over for a fun afternoon. We all got great laughs from Seth and Xander fighting over toys. Xander has some advantages in that he can crawl for the toys, but Seth hung in there. Tomorrow we will have a video of some of this fun!

Superbowl Sunday

Even though the Pats didn't make it to the big game, we still had to put on our gear. We always support the Patriots, even when they aren't playing!

We had a few friends over to watch the game. It was great seeing everyone. Seth made it to half time. He just wanted to see some of the halftime show.

Bath

Every night before bedtime, Jerald gives Seth a bath. It is a great time the two of them can spend together. It is really fantastic that Jerald has been working so hard to be able to make it home by 7pm for bath time.

As you can tell, Seth loves the special time with his Dad. Seth usually giggles and smiles through the whole bath.

We have really come a long way in the past nine months.

Boston Organics

Now that Seth is eating more and more "table food," our goal is to only cook one dinner for all three of us. To help us with this goal we got our first delivery from Boston Organics. Every other week they will deliver us an assortment of organic fruits and veggies. Now we just have to figure out to do with all of it!
