Justin's Last Gym Class

It is hard to imagine but it has been just over a year since Justin's first gym class.   It has been so much fun watching him grow, learn, have fun and get stronger!  Today was his last class.  Our summer is very busy and Ezra is getting too big for me to carry him around all class.  More importantly in the fall Justin will be in pre-school 5 mornings a week with no time for a gym class.  Maybe we will find some afternoon class in the fall.  But for now we say... "goodbye to you and you and you!"

Great-Gram's 85th Birthday Party

Today we celebrated Great-Gram's 85th Birthday.  She is an amazing woman, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  "Out of little old her" she has 2 children, 7 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren (so far)!!!  We had so much fun celebrating with her and seeing Jerald's extended family.  It was also great watching Seth and Justin playing and getting along well with their second cousins.

Nana and Great-Aunt Helen did a wonderful job at throwing a fun party and making lovely speeches!

The great-grandchildren performed Happy Birthday in English and Hebrew.

Visit to NY

We had a fantastic visit to NY this weekend.  Very uncharacteristically, I forgot to bring my camera so this is the only picture?!?  We had a great shabbat dinner with Grandma and Pa, Saturday we had a fantastic time spending it with Uncle Joshy and Aunt Shir, Saturday night thanks to Grandma and Pa babysitting all three boys Jerald and I got to go out in the city and have such a fun and yummy dinner with friends from high school, Sunday more playing and some shopping and Monday a tearful goodbye.  Thanks for another wonderful trip!

6 Months Old!!!

And now the pictures get very hard to take because Ezra is on the move.  He spent this month rolling over.  If you put him down on his back within seconds he is on his tummy.  He has even started scooting backwards while on his tummy.  He has gotten really good at grabbing things - be it toys, my hair (or his brothers), and anything else in his reach.  He also is working on perfecting his sitting.  He can hold himself up for a little while.  The biggest accomplishment is sleep.  He now sleeps unswaddled, in his own room, through the night!!!  Later this week he will go to the doctor to get his stats and then he will start food - rice cereal and breast milk; here we come!!!

Ezra getting around?

Ezra cannot stop rolling to his tummy - even when he doesn't want to be there.  He is getting such good tummy time that he has started scooting backwards and scooting in a circle.  We are in trouble!

Seth's Gamalim School Picture

Ezra Sleeping in his own room!

Last night we slept trained Ezra.  You might ask - why did we decide to do it on a Sunday night after a very busy weekend and having the big boys home to hear the noise.  The answer would be ~ I have had it!  I have been very tired and Ezra has been sleeping swaddled in a co-sleeper in our room for almost 6 months.  His sleep has been not bad enough for us to do anything about it - but not consistantly good enough to make me happy.  So tonight was the night.  And boy were we all ready!  Ezra did great!  He fussed for five minutes.  I went in to check on him - I flipped him to his back and he smiled.  A couple of more minutes of fussing and he was asleep!  Jerald had to go in once at 11:30 but he slept until 6am. Hallelujah!!!  Keep it up little one!

Seth's 5th Birthday - part 3

And finally the 5th birthday festivities come to an end.  We had a wonderful time having family over to our house to celebrate our 5 year old with bagels and the most awesome and yummy Buzz Lightyear cake.  Thanks to Nana, Grandma, Pa, the Uncles, the Aunts, and cousins who came to celebrate (next year Uncle Joshy and Aunt Shir you are coming!).  We love you all!  Thank you for making our 5 year old feel loved and special everyday of the year!

Seth = Shabbat Helper!!!

Seth was the shabbat helper today at school.  He was so lucky to have such a big crowd of family as special guests.  Mommy, Daddy, Justin, Ezra Nana, and Grandma.  We had a really nice time spending time in his class and making shabbat with them.  Jerald was even a Royal Reader!  It was a really fun and sweet morning.

Kindergarten Meeting

It is official - Seth is starting Kindergarten in the fall!!!  Jerald and I went to our first meeting with parents and teachers.  It is overwhelming and will be a big transition but rewarding all the same.  I thought it was a cute picture of us.  When does that happen anymore?  Thanks to my Mom for taking all three kids awake!

Here are some recent cute pictures of our little mohawk baby...  Above is his very first time in the exersacuer.  He is very strong and very close to sitting on his own.
