First Day of School (ever!!!!)

Today was the big day. Seth officially started school. At breakfast, Jerald and I figured out that Seth will be in school for the next twenty years!!! But we are getting ahead of ourselves. We have been talking about school and Seth's teachers for a long time. Seth seemed to be getting excited. For the first day half of the 9 students in Seth's class attended from 9-10 and the other half from 11-12 with a parent there the whole time (usually Seth will be in school 3 days a week from 9-12). So I wasn't nervous because we didn't need to deal with the whole separation thing - we will save that for next week! Seth was so excited when we got to school. He recognized the building as our shul and was really excited to meet his teachers and play with all the fun toys.

Unfortunately, there is another Seth in his class - but that is life...

Here is Seth's cubby with a picture we drew during parent orientation the other night.

Seth took right off into the room to explore all the toys...

He did a bunch of cooking with one of his teachers, Bailey.

And then he spent a lot of time with these barn animals. He loves to line things up and then move the line along.

Seth was very good when his other teacher, Bat-sheva, said it was time to clean-up. He was also happy to know that the animals would be waiting for him on the shelf when he came back.

We then had circle time. We sang some songs and then said good-bye. Fingers crossed that next week goes as well. What a big day!
