Day 75

Today was Ezra's milestone for 3rd grade - his play and tenach celebration!  This was supposed to happen mid-march right when quarantine started.  We celebrated with prayers, a play and giving of the tencah.  So proud of Ezra as always!  He was so serious and focused.  He wouldn't let us be near him on the screen so we viewed from the couch.

In other big news, we have a new dog!  Believe it or not, this is our Missy!  Despite our grooming efforts she was too mated and the groomers had to shave her down.  I didn't believe it was her.  She was in the worst mood all day.  Sad about her fur and probably uncomfortable about a tough grooming experience.  We gave her extra love and treats.  Hopefully she will be back to her old self in a few days.

Day 74

Missy and I started our morning meeting a duck in Newton.  It was standing so still, I thought it wasn't real!  Thankfully, Missy did as well and didn't go after it.

Ezra and his many faces!

Adventures in sourdough - cinnamon muffins.  I was worried that they were too dense.  The boys loved them!

After a hot day, the boys cooled down with mango sorbet in ice cream cones!

Day 73

Justin, Missy and Mommy selfie!

This afternoon felt like one of the most regular days we have had!  After very strict quarantining by everyone, we made the decision to have a bbq with most of the Korn family.  We missed Aunt Na, Ari and Becca so much!!!!

Before everyone arrived, Ezra asked if we had to wear masks.  What a world we are living in now.

We decided no on the masks - and you can tell from these beautiful smiles how wonderful the afternoon was.

We bbq'd, played lawn games, gave Nana hugs, and finished with a fire and smores!

Day 72

Sunday morning hanging around the house - and creating battles on the dinning room table.

The boys and Jerald then had a nerf gun battle in the basement!

Fetch with Missy...

Socially distant visit from the Gold's - Happy Early Birthday Ari!!!!

Seth played some online games with his friends late into the night - while we played trivia with our friends - with a real host!  Pictured in the upper left corner.  It was hard but super fun!

First place - Jenny & Geoff
Second place - US!!!!
Third place - Nora & Josh / Bil & Rebecca

Day 71

My early riser Justin came with Missy for our morning walk.  We talked about plans for our time at the lack house.  These alone times are precious!

Justin, Ezra and Jerald went to play some frisbee golf while Seth and I made soup jars to give out for a charity.

I arranged for Seth's friends Oz and Nadav to come over for a socially distant hangout.  Great to hear them chat and laugh in person!

We got to hang out with the parents as well!

The played a little socially distant basketball - they did a great job respecting the crazy rules!

A few of Justin's friends stopped by, inviting him to go on a bike ride.  Unfortunately, his arm is not healed enough yet.  But he did get to see his friends for a few minutes.

Saturday night movie night was Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

Day 70

It was a super hot day so after school the boys put on the bathing suits, grabbed water guns and turned on the sprinklers.

The boys had a lot of fun...

Missy was not so sure about the water play!

For the first time in (I don't know how many days???) we were able to have Nana over for shabbat - in person!!!!  It was great to have hugs, eat dinner and play games together.

I went out to celebrate Heidi's birthday - in a socially distance way.  Great to celebrate Heidi, see some friends and eat the best cannoli!
