Seth, Justin & Nana dancing

Nana, Seth, Justin & Mommy at Music Class!

Seth had no school today, because of teacher conferences... Nana to the rescue!  Nana came over to watch the boys and Jerald and I got great reviews from Seth's teacher.  Back at home, Nana, the boys and I headed to JP to have fun at Justin's music class together.  Thanks Nana!!!

Nana's 60th Birthday Party Weekend

I (Jerald) and my siblings have been planning a big 60th birthday blowout for Nana for months and the weekend is finally upon us.  We tried our best to make sure that Nana had to do as little as possible for the weekend, and I think we succeeded.  The whole weekend was a lot of fun with a lot of kids!

Seth and Justin shared a room with Becca on Friday night, which again meant staying up late talking, but they eventually all went to sleep.  Somehow the next morning, around 6:30 AM, I found all three of them in my bed.

On Saturday night, we hosted everyone at our house for dinner.  It was really nice to be able to show our house to my whole family.  A big thank you to Lauren for getting the whole house (and dinner) ready for everyone (despite being 8+ months pregnant).

On Sunday, Great-Gram, Great Aunt Helen, Great Uncle Les, 2 of my cousins with spouses, and 7 of Seth and Justin's second-cousins joined in the festivities (unfortunately, one of my cousins and her family couldn't make it because they recently had their third - Mazel Tov!).  We also got Nana a professional photographer as a birthday present, so better pictures to come.  Everyone brought poems for Nana (a family tradition) and it was great hanging out with the larger crew.  Seth read this poem to Nana:

"I love seeing Nana every week,
Watching movies and playing hide-and-seek.
Happy Birthday to my Nana
I love you more than a banana!"

Happy Birthday again Nana!  We all love you and appreciate everything that you do for us!

Brian visits!!!

Our great friend Brian has landed an awesome new job and with it comes visiting Boston once a month - yea!!!  This was Brian's first visit and we were so happy to show him the new house, eat a quick bite with him and the boys were all about playing and reading books with him.  Thanks for taking the time to stop by and we can't wait to see more of you!

Not sure what this is teaching - but it looks fun!

Gamal - visit #1

Gamal is the stuffed camel sitting on the table - she is Seth's class pet.  Each day a lucky student gets to take her home for the night and then they have to record in her diary about what she did with the student.  Today was Seth's lucky day - and Gamal made her first visit to our house.  Gamal was busy eating lunch, playing in the basement, sleeping in Seth's bed - we had a great time with Gamal and can't wait to have her back soon!

Halloween 2010

Halloween was a little rushed and unplanned this year due to our move and our trip to NY.  But we made it home to dig out the costumes - Seth was a pirate and Justin was a vampire (although he refused to wear the cape - just like when Seth wore this costume).  We took some pictures, ate some pizza dinner, and then went trick-or-treating in our new neighborhood.  It was nice to meet some of our neighbors face to face and we did get a lot of yummy candy.

Jerald was not officially anything - just being silly with the blue hair from last years halloween.

Happy 60th Birthday Nana

Nana hosted a little birthday brunch today to celebrate her big birthday.  The big party is two weeks away....  We just wanted to wish a very happy birthday to Nana ~  We are all so blessed to have you in our lives.  Your love and caring for us is never ending.  Your warm smile, hugs and kisses make us all feel better.  You have set an amazing example for all about how to lead a happy and healthy family.  We can never thank you for all that you do for us - so we will just say thank you and happy birthday!  We are really excited to celebrate in two weeks

Cat & Eric's Wedding

We were so thrilled to go to Long Island to celebrate our friend Cat's wedding!  Things were so crazy since we had only moved two days before - but it was worth it!  Thankfully my doctor ok'd me going and Nana was nice enough to take the boys for the weekend.
Jerald was so honored to say the blessing over the challah at the reception.  How cute is he?
Four of our law school friends are expecting!  Katherine is due with her second in February, Christine is due with her second girl, me with our third boy, and Suzanne due with her first boy.  So fun giving belly bumps!

It was so wonderful celebrating with Cat and Eric - they are an amazing couple and we are so excited that they are moving back to boston in January!!!  It was also fantastic getting to spend time with so many of our friends from law school.  We love you all and hope to stay in much better touch!!!

Thanks again to Nana for watching the boys - we appreciate it so much and the boys had a blast!!!

Moving Day...

Everything was packed and ready to go.  It was very strange going to sleep last night for the last time at this house.  It doesn't really feel like our house anymore - all the rugs are taken up, tv's unplugged, dishes all gone, and toys packed.  We have had so many wonderful memories at this house.  Seth has turned from a baby to a boy in this house.  Justin wasn't even a twinkle in our eye when we first moved in, and now he is a force of his own.  And no-name will never live in this house - but we will always have the memories of me packing with my ever growing belly!  So we move forward....Newton here we come!!!

Royal Reader

Today, Nana came to Seth's class to be the "royal reader."  She got to read some books to Seth's classmates while Seth sat right next to her.  It was really special to have Nana come to class and read.  He talked about how much fun it was all day long!  Thanks Nana!!!

Homework...

Seth and Jerald working on Seth's first homework project - a family collage.  Seth did all the cutting and making the big decisions.  It came out really cute with pictures of our family and all the things we enjoy doing ~ going to museums, the zoo, playing uno, dancing...
