Rosh Hashanah

We had a wonderful few days at Nana's celebrating the new year.  We ate really yummy food and spent time with cousins and aunts and uncles.  A huge thank you to Nana for all her hard work in planning, cooking, cleaning, organizing and loving all of us!!!
This is the first year the kids had a dedicated kid table.  Success!
Zev enjoying Justin's honey plate he made at school.
Uncle Jono and Uncle Josh carving.
 Orli enjoying the food!

On the second day of the holiday we busted out the ties.  We thought they looked like waiters.  Seth kept offering us pizza - that is the fanciest dinner he can think of!

Thanks for all the fun and yumminess Nana!

Ezra's Gym Class

Now that the big boys are in school - Ezra finally got his chance to do something fun.  He took gym last year - but now he is in an older class but still loving it!  I was so proud - he said his name name for the first time when they went around the circle and he was the example for the gym skill.

Justin's 1st Day of Preschool (2nd Year)

Today we were all a little nervous for Justin's first day of school.  With a lot of thought, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to leave the school that Seth had gone to for 3 years and Justin for 1 year.  While we loved the school, we could not justify the amount of driving we were all doing (25 minutes one way for a 3-hour school day).  So we made the jump to a new school only 6 minutes away.  Justin will be here for 2 years with Ezra joining him next year for 3 years.  So it was the right time.  Justin had some tears at breakfast when we said today was school.  He pulled it together and it seemed that he just decided that it was going to be something he was excited about instead of scared.  We went to school he found his BFF Eitan, we gave a hug and kiss and then I left.  No tears, no asking me to stay.  He did it!  When I picked him up his new teacher said he did great.  So proud of our Justin!!!

Future Olympian?

For anyone who have spent any time with Justin in the last 6 months, you will know that he would rather be upside down then right side up.  He often is on his head upside down on the couch watching tv.  He loves to run, jump, roll - he needs gymnastics!  I was very nervous for his first day.  Justin can be very shy and if he decides something is scary or that he doesn't want to do it, it can become almost impossible to get him to participate (soccer last winter :-(  Thanks to a fun teacher, prepping from Jerald and I, and Justin's best buddy Eitan - Justin's first class went really well!  He went in on his own with no tears and participated.  It was so cute and Justin was so good!

1st Day of 1st Grade!!!

Seth happily went with Jerald to school today.  Jerald reports back that he was happy and in a good mood.  Wait till all the hard work begins!  This afternoon he is taking the bus home for the first time and then taking it to school tomorrow.  Lots of firsts this week!

Mommy Camp

Today is the last official day of Mommy Camp.  It was great, crazy, busy, fun, stressful, relaxing and tiring to spend the last bunch of weeks with my 3 boys.  I am forever thankful that I am able to stay home with them (thanks Jerald!) and be able to give them both fun busy times at camp and lazy days around the house and the pool.  Next stop - 1st grade and a new preschool for Justin.

Zoo with Ari and Becca

Fun day with Becca and Ari at the zoo.  Thanks for inviting us!  We spent the afternoon hanging out with them and then had dinner with them and Nana.  Really fun!
