Look below Seth's Birthday Collage to find our first day of disney... just trying to keep it all in order :-)

Happy 7th Birthday Seth!!!

We want to wish a huge happy 7th birthday to our Seth!!!  What an amazing boy you are becoming.  Seth is fun, lively, energetic, funny, kind, sweet, smart and a million other things.  He is so outgoing that he makes friends wherever he is - whether on the playground with a new friend - or with the school nurse (who says she loves when he comes to see her).  Seth loves life.  He gets excited by small and little things a like - I hope he never loses that!  He has really gown up so much over the last year.  He has been working so hard at school - really able to read and write on his own in English, and working on his writing and speaking in Hebrew (he has a very thick Israeli accent thanks to his Hebrew teacher).  He has been working hard on learning to play piano and swimming all year long.  He is now working on his third play at school.  It has been so much fun to see how much he enjoys the whole process of putting on a play.  He now is starting playing soccer again and giving baseball one more try. He loves his immediate and extended family and is always so warm when he sees them.  He looks out for his brothers and even though the age difference seems more evident these days - he still will play with them and have a great time.  Seth is an amazing member of our family.  I am so proud to call myself his Mom (he won't let me write Mommy on his notes in his lunch box anymore!).  We love you Seth and hope you have the most magical 7th birthday!!!

DW Day #1 - 2013

The day has finally came....  we are off to disney world!  Jerald and I have spent months of planning, organizing and packing and now it will all pay off (hopefully!).  Nana flew with us from Boston and we met Grandma and Pa in the Orlando airport.  The boys were so happy even the extra hour and a half we spent parked at Logan Airport (thank you sequester!) couldn't damper their spirits.

Once in Orlando we met up with Grandma and Pa and took the Disney Magical Express bus to our hotel the Coronado.

It is styled after Spanish Colonialism.  I think that means they have a lot of fountains and courtyards.

A quick dump of our bags and we were off to the pool.  Huge and beautiful!  After a long cold winter in Boston we were all happy to be swimming outside with the sun shinning.

A quick cab ride and we were at the Animal Kingdom resort.  Outside the hotel rooms are live animals!  I don't know if I could have slept with a giraffe walking by all night.  It was fun to see the animals and then we ate a delicious African buffet.

Tomorrow is Seth's birthday and we are headed to the magical kingdom bright and early!!!

Lockdown

We were awoken this morning at 6:15 from an automated call from Seth's school telling us that because of the extraordinary events overnight school was cancelled.  We jumped on our phones and found out about the shooting and the lockdown of our town and surrounding towns.  It was a very tense and surreal day.  We really appreciate all of our friends and family that called, emailed, texted, and fb us to check in on us.  The boys for the most part were in the dark about what happened.  We needed to talk to Seth - he is handling it well.  What a hard day for everyone.

Trip to the farm

Now Justin has school vacation and Seth has school.  I decided we needed to go to the farm.  Once there, I realized that the last time I had been there I was pregnant with Justin.  So this was Justin and Ezra's first time.  They loved it!  We will definitely go back.  We watched the sheep for 20 minutes - they could have even stayed longer.  We saw pigs, cows and even went on a hay ride.

We finished the trip with a yummy lunch and milkshakes!  We felt bad that Seth missed out on all the fun.  After dinner, Seth and I stayed for an ice cream date!

Marathon Monday

We had a beautiful marathon Monday.  Seth had school - but the rest of us walked the three blocks to the route and cheered on the elite men and elite women. We then went back to Ezra's friends house for a yummy lunch.  It was really wonderful and special.

We were so saddened later on to find out about the bombing.  Words cannot express how sad we are.  We will all be back next year.

Time for Partners

Seth is on school break, Justin still has school and Ezra has class.  Seth finally got to come to Ezra's music and art class.  Ezra loved having Seth there - and Seth had a great time.  He loved the music teacher David.  He said, "I knew he was funny, but he really is funny!"  Great brother time!

Last Isis class

Today was Ezra's last Isis class.  We still have a lot of other classes that we will do for the spring and the summer but I feel that it is winding down as Ezra will be in school 5 mornings a week in the fall.  I have been taking classes at Isis since my pregnancy with Seth.  We took a ton of baby preparing classes.  I then took new mom classes, and play classes with each of them.  Isis was such a wonderful place where I met some of my closes friends and I developed confidence and knowledge that I will use every day.  All I can say is wow....  what a wonderful 7+ years!

2nd Seder

We had a wonderful 2nd seder at Nana's house.  A huge thank you to Nana for all the cooking, organizing and helping prepare the boys for the 4 questions.  The boys had a great time getting to stay up super late and playing with their cousins.  Thank you!!!
