Day 94

Today is the big day for Seth - graduation day!  He opened the second bag of goodies.  In it was his gown, kippah, glowsticks for the evening, diploma and 5 amazing awards that he won.  We are beyond proud!!!!!!

Justin celebrated the end of hebrew class with a joint ice cream party!

As Seth is officially done with classes, Nadav's brother came over to lead some of the boys in socially distant bball and conversations - while Missy got to have a playdate with Stella

The afternoon and evening were dedicated to celebrating Seth and his classmates.

Seth you have worked, learned, and grown into an amazing guy - we are so proud of where you have ended your Schechter career but even more so proud of the journey you have taken to get here.  Your teachers praise your kindness, passion and love of learning.  Mazel tov on this amazing achievement!

We started by meeting in Newton Center to meet up with the car parade.

Waiting to get into the parking lot

Day 93

What a way to start a Monday!  I found this amazing package on our front step at 7am!  There were three bags and these beautiful balloons for our graduate Seth!  The first bag said to be opened this morning at 10am for the Recognition Breakfast.  I tried to peak into Seth's room - but he wouldn't let me!

This bag had a t-shirt, hat, yearbook and supplies for breakfast - water, muffin and fruit!  The teachers did presentations, they showed Seth's amazing slideshow and Seth came out of his room 90 minutes later with a few tears in his eyes.  Can't believe this 9 year journey is coming to an end!

Ezra still finding creative places for class!

This is a really cool collage that was made for the 3rd grade teachers!

Day 92

For good or for bad, this Sunday felt more like a typical Sunday.  People needed to be places, and we needed to get them there!

Seth has wanted to do a paintball party for a long time.  These 8th graders have missed so much - their play, their Israel trip.  We wanted to give them something fun!  Most of the grade came out and suited up.

Seth had a blast!

Later in the afternoon, Justin went to his friend David's birthday party.  Basketball with gloves and masks on is not easy - but these kids did awesome.

Finished with ice cream sandwiches

I finished my last big project for work - Yom Zoom is in the books!  Now onto packing for the lake house

Day 91

On the road again....  I am not a confident bike rider.  If I have an itch - I need to pull over!  To make matters worse, I am a good nervous mother who worries about her babies.  AND the last time we took a group bike ride, Justin broke his arm.  Well, the time has come to be back on the road.  Jerald spent 45 minutes tuning the bikes and adjusting the seats.  We were finally ready to go.

We went to Crystal lake and had a quick snack and headed home.  It wasn't a long or far trip - but very successful!

Day 90

What a special day!  It started with Seth in morning teffilot sharing somethings he learned at Schechter.

the afternoon we went to the live Shabbat Shira where the 3rd graders were honored.  The school sent this special red bow.  Instead of walking the red carpet - the 3rd graders were celebrated in this way.

Lots of smiles and singing from our car.  As we drove out for the 3rd grade parade - I was overcome as we leave the lower school after 9 years...  just wow!

We had Nana and Uncle Jono over for a really fun shabbat dinner.  Those hugs feel extra special!

Day 89

One of my best memories of the boys at the lower school, was volunteering in Lori the librarian's library.  I had to stop once I began working, but I had always hoped to come back at least one more time before Ezra left the lower school.  I couldn't make it in person, but I joined Ezra on zoom for the last library.  Lori is the best!

One of the saddest things for us during this time period was Seth missing his 8th grade play.  They had a viewing last night for the 8th graders.  Seth was great and had such a positive attitude.  I was so sad for him, but tried to keep it to myself - since he was handling it so well.  What a great group of kids!

The boys are working hard for the last couple of days of school.  Proud at what they have been able to accomplish.

Day 87

Ezra joined me in my "office," for his last music with Gene.  It was nice joining him every tuesday afternoon.  Even if I never remembered!

In Hebrew class Seth made Nutella Babka - the house smelled amazing!
