Once we found the local beach we were kicking ourselves for not coming sooner.  The first day out the waves were awesome - below are the kids excited by the waves.

What a wonderful weeks vacation in Newport with Grandma and Pa!  Grandma and Pa rented an amazing new house this year - we loved it!  It had a private pool where we spent most of the week.  

The heater wasn't working the first couple of days, luckily Aunt Shir had a spare wetsuit in her car!

Week 1 of Mommy Camp

The boys are officially done with camp for the summer.  I am excited to not pack any more backpacks and lunch boxes for the summer!  I am excited to spend fun time with my boys with a more flexible schedule.  The first week was pretty successful.  I found that we were all a bit more happy when we were getting out of the house once or twice a day with a fun destination.  It takes some planning - but turned out fun.  

We started day #1 with snuggles and homemade pool noodle light sabers.

One day we did water balloons.  Lots and lots of water balloons!

One day we went to Einstein's Workshop.  A fun place with legos, other building stuff and a computer lab where Seth played mine craft forever!

One day was a puppet show based on the jungle book.

We ended the week with a private karate lesson for the boys.  They were so focused and concentrated.  Really great to see.  Week 1 down - now we need to pack for vacation #1!
