Week at Grandma & Pa's

We had a wonderful extended visit at Grandma & Pa's house. We started by stopping off at my friend Debbie's house to see her 2 year old Dylan and meet his new 7 week old sister Nora. We got to see them the next day on Long Island - we had a play date at our elementary school - how crazy!!!
My friend Vicky and her adorable daughter Lucy drove out from NJ to spend the morning with us. How cute are Lucy and Justin together?
My friend Stefanie (we met in nursery school!?!) came for a visit (no picture) with her adorable little girl Samantha. Thank you to Debbie, Vicky and Stefanie!!! It was so amazing to spend time with such good friends and to get to see your adorable kids :-)
When we weren't entertaining - we had such an amazing time with Grandma. Grandma was a rock star - cooking, cleaning, reading, playing and making us all giggle! THANK YOU!!!
Pa was at work during the week - but on Saturday Pa was ready to go and the boys had so much fun!

Bath time is always fun!

Jerald took the train to NY friday to spend the weekend with us. When Pa and Jerald arrived at the house - Seth ran as fast as I have ever seen him run, out of the house, down the driveway and straight into Jerald's arms. It was too cute for words!
On our way out of town we made one last stop at Danny & Rebecca's for brunch in Queens. It was so great to see Danny, Rebecca, their son Ben, Brian, Ben, Marci and her daughter Jordana. The biggest hit was Rebecca's brother's dog - Jabba. Seth and Justin are in love! Thanks for the yummy food and spending time with great friends!

Cape Cod Vacation - Day #7

Today was our last full day of vacation - tomorrow we will spend time packing and cleaning up and after one more dip in the pool on our way home. So we took the time to enjoy our favorite parts of vacation - the pool and the beach. We spent the morning at the pool and the afternoon at the beach.

Our big beach activity was digging a giant hole that the boys could jump in and out of. As the tide came in - we were all so interested in watching how fast it disappeared under the water.

It was a wonderful vacation. Thank you to Uncle Joshy and Shir for coming up to the Cape for so long and having so much fun with us. Thank you to Jerald who really took a vacation (i.e. very little blackberry checking) - we had so much fun having you around all the time! And thank you is not sufficient for Grandma and Pa for making this such a wonderful vacation. Each year we make memories for the boys and the whole family that will last a lifetime. We love you!!!

Cape Cod Vacation - Day #6

Two words describe our morning activity... PIRATE SHOW!!! For those of you keeping track, Seth is pirate crazy (thank you Pa!). When we saw the signs advertising a kids Pirate musical based on a book that we own (thank you Pa!) we knew we had to go.
As you can tell from the pictures - Seth loved every minute of it. He even got all the actors autographs after! Justin even sat still for the hour and seemed happy.

How can you top the excitement of a pirate musical? An arcade afternoon!

Cape Cod Vacation - Day #5

We had a wonderful last morning with Uncle Joshy and Shir. We spent many hours in the pool. It is amazing how far both boys have come with their water skills. Seth now feels safe in the water and his life vest to swim from person to person and to tred water on his own. Justin is loving his yellow tube and happily kicks his feet and spins in cirlces.

Both boys LOVE jumping from the side of the pool in...

Ring around the rosie is also very popular!

We had to say goodbye to Uncle Joshy and Shir today - as they headed back to NYC. We had such a wonderful vacation with them! We are so happy we were able to spend so much fun times with them. We miss you already!!!

We spent the rest of the afternoon playing soccer in the yard and catching a Cape Cod league baseball game - go Brewster Whitecaps!

Cape Cod Vacation - Day #4

We spent the morning at the beach where we gave Uncle Joshy and Shir a workout with the boys. Shir was the super star swimming and running through rocky water to grab Seth on the runaway turtle (we love you Shir!!!).

We also did some serious castle building...

During Justin's nap we tried our hand at tennis - it was really too hot for Seth and I too last long.

In the afternoon we checked out the other side of the complex - they had a kiddie pool and a big pool (which we later learned is called the cold pool!). Seth made huge strides in his swimming. He is wearing this life vest which helps him float. Little by little he got to courage to swim out to different people on his own. It is really such a cool thing to watch. Justin also has come a long way. He now keeps himself propped up in his yellow tube and can kick himself around.

Grandma & Pa took the boys out to dinner and put them to bed so we could go out to dinner with Joshy and Shir - what fun having some quiet time to talk. Thanks Mom and Dad!!!
