Halloween 2011

Buzz Lightyear to the rescue!!!  If you can't tell from the pictures we went as characters from the movie Toy Story.  Seth and Justin were Buzz Lightyear.  Ezra was the alien.  Jerald was Woody.  And I was Jessie.

The big two boys were very excited for Halloween this year.  They were so happy to be in their costumes and to walk around the neighborhood.  Most houses, they walked up to the door on their own.  It got dark and cold too quickly - but it was a really fun night!

Happy Birthday Nana

We want to wish Nana a very, very, very happy birthday!!!  We celebrated with a waffle brunch at our place followed by cards and gifts.  We all love you and wish you a wonderful year.

End of Fall Soccer

 This weekend was the end of both of Seth's soccer.  Jerald reports that Seth made big improvements this season and had a lot of fun!  Seth reports that Jerald was a great assistant coach.  Justin reports that he likes to eat snacks at soccer, especially munchkins!

11 Months Old!

 The month pictures are getting very difficult to take!  Ezra rarely sits still and wants to grab the sign and eat it.  That explains Ezra at 11 months old!  Ezra spent the month moving.  He took his first steps - he now takes 4-6 in a row and then plops down.  He is really steady standing and balancing but he is working hard on the walking.  He also cut four teeth - the count is at 6 teeth.  He still loves to laugh, smile, pull his brothers hair and go where ever we don't want him to go.

 Lately, Justin has been very into books.  Sometimes he wants us to read to him - but more often then not he would rather flip through the book himself making up the words or retelling the story quietly to himself.  So cute!

Pre-Halloween fun

 Decorating pumpkins, making pretzel chocolate ghosts and we also decorated the outside of the house.

Ezra is everywhere....

 Ezra has had a busy week - and it is only Wednesday!  Not only did he sprout two more teeth (two more are close behind) - that makes four for those of you counting at home - but he took his first step today!!!  Even without the walking, Ezra is everywhere.  In every corner of the house, up and down the stairs.  Very cute but very precocious!

 Seth and Daddy have had a busy fall with two soccer leagues - one on saturday morning (Jerald is the assistant coach) and one on sunday morning.  Most days it has been hard motivating out of the house on a weekend - but Jerald reports that Seth is having fun, trying, and getting better.  Justin has attended all of the practices and games but I hear he spends most of his time snacking.  I hope to get to a game when Ezra gives up his morning nap.

Grandma and Pa Visit

 Grandma came up earlier in the week and we had so much fun sloshing in the mud eating in our sukkah!  The boys had a blast making art, putting on puppet shoes, reading books and having fun.  Pa came up for the weekend.  We all went to a local fair.  The boys even got Grandma on a spiny ride!  Seth and Justin went on a roller coaster by themselves.  I was so nervous - but they did great!

Sukkot

 This year we built our very first family sukkah.  Thanks to Nana for giving us her sukkah!  Jerald worked so hard over a couple of days loading, unloading and constructing our beautiful sukkah.  It was 10 inches too small for our deck so we have it in our backyard.  With all the rain we have been having it is a bit muddy - but still very lovely inside.  For our first night we had a yummy dinner and my first try at round challah!  Nana and Uncle Jono came over - and it was so peaceful eating outside.
