We all have been dealing with a nasty cold over the last week. So to help with our congestion we took a steam in our bathroom.
With all the steam heat Seth's hair curled right up - just like Mommy's!
SO BIG!!!
Seth's Mom cooked him up some yummy pancakes for breakfast today (don't ask what is in them).
Seth is really moving along to "table food." Which means we just cut up regular food into Seth size pieces and let him go to town. He now eats cut up pieces of fruit, pasta, cheerios, beans, corn, bagels, rolls, peas and of course pancakes!
Seth had another very busy month. He spent a lot of time log rolling around the apartment and lunging for everything. Seth started waving and saying "Mom" and "Dad" and lots of other fun noises. Seth started eating out with Mom and Dad in restaurants by sitting in his own highchair. He also got three more teeth to eat so many new foods with.
Seth took his first ride in a shopping cart today at Trader Joes. He loved it! He spent the whole time giggling.
Seth went for his 9 month doctor's appointment today and he weighed in at 20 pounds and 2 ounces! He has come a long way from the 6 pounds 14 ounces he weighed when he was born.
So, this is a hat that Seth's Great Grandma knitted for him which came with the most adorable jacket that we haven't had a chance to photograph him in yet. Maybe for tomorrow...
Seth loves to "drink" from real cups. He really likes to lick and gum the glass but sometimes he does get some water in his mouth, and he is always very surprised.
While Seth is not yet crawling, he is finding ways to get around the apartment. He is still doing a lot of log rolling - which landed him under the couch this morning. He seemed pretty pleased by himself.
Wow look at all these toys in this box. Which one should I play with?
Maybe I should just dive right in and play with all of them!
Oh, hi Mom. When did you get there?
We all were getting ready to go to a friends 2 year old birthday party and we were struck by how old and mature looked in this adorable sweater (bought by Lauren's cousin Catesby - thanks!).
Only one more week until Seth is 9 months old!!! Time is going by so fast.
We have had a crazy winter in Boston. We though it was getting cold on November 13th. But then we got all this crazy warm weather. Now it finally seems to be winter. Tomorrow they are finally draining the water from our apartments pool! So Seth has to wear his fun snow suit. Doesn't he look happy?
Once a month we get together with our "Great Beginnings" Group. They are a group of parents and babies that we met when they were just 6 weeks old. It has been so much fun watching everyone grow. 
We had a great time hosting the group today. Everyone is getting so big!!!
We missed you Ronak, Eli, Zoe and Tyler!
Two of our very best friends, Maria and Sitso, became parents yesterday. Elena was born yesterday at 3:25 pm weighing 8 lbs 11 oz and measuring 21.5 inches. The family is doing well.
We are so excited for Maria and Sitso and cannot wait to meet baby Elena. If you want to see pictures of Elena and keep up to date and her you can check out their blog.
On Saturday Seth started saying "Mom." It is just the cutest thing ever! We are pretty sure he doesn't understand what the word means - but it is still sooo much fun.
Make sure you have your volume on to hear Seth. He is a little whinny we think he just has so much to say and is still learning on how to get it out.
Lauren's oldest friend and maid of honor, Rebecca, was in town today for business. Lucky for us she was able to take the afternoon off to spend some time with Lauren and Seth. Rebecca got tons of smiles and laughs from Seth. And it was great spending time with her.
Rebecca even joined him in some nibbling of his new sneakers!
Seth also started his next class, "Moovers and Groovers." Seth is not yet moving or grooving - but probably by the end of the class he will be doing at least one of them! It was great going back to class. Seth was happy to see many of his friends, the teacher who he definitely has a crush on, and of course his all time favorite, the parachute.
What a big boy Seth is. He now can sit in a high chair in a restaurant and even eat some of the food we order.
We had a great visit with Seth's Grandparents who came to Boston this weekend from New York.
Seth loved spending time with Grandma and Grandpa. As soon as they got out of the car Seth started smiling. He spent most of the weekend laughing and smiling and pretty much charming everyone around him.
In honor of his Grandma and Grandpa - Seth decided to wear his "I Love NY" outfit. 
Sometimes Seth just likes to hang out on our bed. A change of scenery is always nice. 
For the first time Seth ate the same thing for lunch that his Mommy ate for lunch - homemade black bean soup. And as you can see, he loved it!
We had a great time on New Years Eve. We first watched the Patriots win their last regular season game with our friends Rachel and Morry. Than, our friends Debbie and Tim stopped by to spend some time with Seth. Despite Seth's serious face in the picture - he had a blast with all of our visitors.
Then we headed over to Seth's Aunt Sara and Uncle Josh's apartment for a fun night of games and yummy food.
Down in New York you could tell that Seth's Grandma and Grandpa had a crazy New Years party. They even had a wine pong tournament!
Seth is not yet crawling - but he is doing an excellent job of log rolling across the room.
For the past few days Seth has been opening and closing his hand like he is waving goodbye or hello, but his hand was always facing him. But today - the hand turned around and he started waving to the world! I am sure we will get pictures soon.
