Day 53

The biggest news of the day - is that Justin got the long cast off!!!!  4 weeks gone!  The first picture is after the cast had just been cut open. They wrapped it in an ace bandage to have an X-ray done. There was a lot of new bone growth, but they want two more weeks for the fracture to close more. Two weeks with a short cast. At least he can move his elbow!  

I have been so impressed with Justin’s attitude. We were hoping he would be done with the cast today, but he took the news really well. The silver lining is the extra time we have got to spend together in the hospital!  

Justin was quick to decide on the American flag cast. When I asked why, he said it is what captain America would have!

This lovely picture was on the boys schools website. Extra reading and Lori the librarian with a puppet. Makes me sad for the online learning the boys need to do now.
