Meeting our niece/cousin

Today we all got to go to the hospital to meet our niece and Seth's cousin. She is beautiful! Such little feet and hands - you forget how little they start out as. Jason, Naomi and the little one are all doing wonderfully and will be going home from the hospital on Monday. They have not told us her name yet because they are torturing us :-) and waiting until next Sunday at her baby naming to announce it to everyone. Any guesses? Here is Nana with her second grandchild!!!

Seth was not too sure what to think of Nana, Mom and Dad holding this new baby. By the end of our visit he was getting used to her and even gave her one of his cheese doodles. Eventually they will be great friends.

Seth and Nana also had fun inside...

Thanks to Nana for always being there for all of us!!! We love you!!!

Visit to Great-Gram's House

We went to Great Gram's (Jerald's Grandma) house for a quick visit today. Great Gram moved to West Hartford (where Jerald grew up) last year after decades living in northern New Jersey (although if you ask her, she'd say New York). We were only there for a few hours, but we got wonderful visits from some family friends, Seth Great Aunt Helen and Great Uncle Les, and Jerald's cousin Daniel with one of his (four) sons, Yitzi. Here's a picture of Great Gram playing with two of her eight great-grandchildren:

Most of all, it was great having some time to hang out with Great Gram in a somewhat smaller crowd and being able to see her wonderful place and all the work she's put into it. Thank you for having us! We're so glad you live close enough for day trips now!

Off to New Hampshire

Jerald was beyond amazing today. I was still recovering from my stomach bug. Somehow Jerald packed all of our luggage, packed the car, and prepared the house for our departure. I don't know how he did it (because I slept through most of it) - but it is truly amazing!!!

And then he drove us and Nana up to New Hampshire for our four day vacation in the mountains. It felt sooooo good to breathe the clean mountain air and to realize we had nothing to do but relax and enjoy each others company.

First Night of Chanukah

We celebrated the first night of Chanukah with Nana, presents, and homemade latkes and apple sauce! Seth loved the potato latkes and apple sauce. He ate them so fast, I lost count of how many he had. We had a really wonderful night celebrating together.

Nana gave Seth his own yarmulke - you can see how much he enjoys putting it on! Thank you Nana for joining us to celebrate - we love being able to share these times with you.

Getting Ready for Chanukah

Today we went to Nana's house to "help" her and Aunt Na make Chanukah cookies. It was fun watching Aunt Na and Nana make a mess - we didn't make it until the end. Hopefully we will get to taste the end result soon!

Sunday Brunch

We went to Nana's house today for brunch to see her Aunt and Uncle who were in town for a visit. Seth really enjoyed being around so many of his Aunts and Uncles, playing with a new kitchen that Nana bought for her house, and eating yummy waffles.

Happy Birthday Nana!!!

Monday night we had over Seth's Nana and Aunt Naomi, Uncle Jason, Uncle Josh, Aunt Sara and Uncle Jono - to celebrate Nana's birthday. Seth worked very hard on a birthday card, which Nana obviously loved! We had a yummy dinner and these amazing mint brownies made by Naomi. It was great to be together celebrating with Nana.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Sleepover at Nana's House

Seth had the most wonderful time sleeping over Nana's house last night, and then spending most of the day with her. Jerald and I missed Seth but had a fun night at our downstairs neighbors house warming, sleeping in late, and going to a bar for lunch to watch the Patriots win!

As always, thanks so much Nana!

Great-Gram & Nana Visit

What a wonderful treat! Even though it was a rainy and cloudy day - a visit from Seth's Nana and Great-Gram brightened our day! They drove down from boston to see Seth in his giant sandbox. Seth had a lot of fun playing with them in the sand and showing them all his new tricks. Thanks for a very special visit!!!

Spending time with Nana

Seth has been lucky enough to spend a LOT of time with his Nana over the last month as I packed, met people to do work on the house, and unpacked. Thank you so much for taking care of Seth whenever and wherever we needed it. I know Seth has really enjoyed all this extra time with you - and it has been beyond invaluable to us. THANK YOU!

Most recently, Seth was at his Nana's while I was unpacking and got to play in a kiddie pool that Nana bought special for him. I am told he loved sitting in it but also enjoyed sitting next to it and throwing grass into the pool.

Sunday at Nana's House

This move has totally taken over our life! We have been spending most of our free time packing, moving, cleaning, and buying stuff for our move. Yesterday Seth's Nana took care of him for the day so we could do fun things like spend hours in The Container Store and Home Depot.

Seth had a blast with Nana. They played with some of Seth's favorite toys, ate lunch, took a nap, and played out in Nana's backyard and even blew bubbles!
We would never be able to move without everyone's help - so thank you!

Back to the Park

We had another beautiful day in Boston. Seth was lucky to have his Nana and his Great-Gram over to play with and shower him in birthday presents! We went back to the park to play on the slide, in the sandbox and with other fun random toys. Seth had so much fun spending time with his Nana and Great-Gram.

Doesn't Seth look like he is driving the boat?!?

Back at home, Seth's Great-Gram read him a new book she just gave him for his birthday. Seth loved it!

Frisbee & Peakaboo

Today was one of Seth's Uncle Jono's last Ultimate Frisbee games in college, as he is graduating next month. So we decided to go cheer him on. It was a really exciting and close game. Jono led his team to victory by scoring the winning point. Seth enjoyed the game except for the loud cheering.
In the car on the way to Uncle Jono's Frisbee game Seth initiated his first Peekaboo game with Nana. He was holding cuddly and he would cover his face with it until Nana said "where is Seth" he would then show his face hysterical laughing.

Saturday at Nana's

We spent friday night and saturday with Seth's Nana, Aunt Naomi, Uncle Jason, Aunt Sara and Uncle Josh (we missed you Uncle Jono!). Seth had a great time with everyone. He especially loved all the toys Nana cleaned up for him that some of his Aunts and Uncles used to use.

Seth loved this piano. When you press the keys little squares pop up and Seth thought it was great!

Seth had fun playing catch with Uncle Josh.
