Happy New Year!

Jerald was beyond amazing today. I was still recovering from my stomach bug. Somehow Jerald packed all of our luggage, packed the car, and prepared the house for our departure. I don't know how he did it (because I slept through most of it) - but it is truly amazing!!!
And then he drove us and Nana up to New Hampshire for our four day vacation in the mountains. It felt sooooo good to breathe the clean mountain air and to realize we had nothing to do but relax and enjoy each others company.

As you can see, we went to Nana's house for the 6th night of Chanukah. (Of course, if you asked Seth he might tell you it was the seventh night because he likes to skip the number 5. Counting is one of his newest tricks, but his favorite two numbers are 4 and 6 and he doesn't like to let anything get in between them).

Last night our neighbor and friend Ellah came over with her Mom to celebrate Chanukah. We lit the menorah, sang songs, and played with dreidels. It was a lot of fun.

We celebrated the first night of Chanukah with Nana, presents, and homemade latkes and apple sauce! Seth loved the potato latkes and apple sauce. He ate them so fast, I lost count of how many he had. We had a really wonderful night celebrating together.

We went trick or treating with Sarita and Ronak on Centre St, where all the business were open for trick or treaters.

We had a great day celebrating the 4th. Jerald was home from work and we spent some of the morning exploring the fun toddler playground that is right near our new house. After Seth's afternoon nap, our friends Dave and Chris (back from his time in the Navy stationed in Italy) came over to see our new place. Then we had a fantastic barbecue at our friend Sera and Paul's place in Cambridge. Thanks so much it was fun and yummy!

We had a great day celebrating with Jerald. We started the day by letting him "sleep in." I think he got up by 7:45 a.m.! Then Seth and I made chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. After Seth's morning nap and some furniture shopping we all went in the pool (maybe for the last time because we move this week!). The afternoon got busy with packing and house stuff but I think we showed Jerald how much we love and appreciate him.
Jerald is truly the best. He is an amazing Dad. Even after an incredible long day at work he will make sure he is home to spend quality time with Seth and to give me a break. Watching Jerald and Seth together always makes me smile. Seth is just so happy to be with his Dad - who always invents new games and finds new ways to make him laugh. Like this picture - I am not sure who came up with the idea - but it became very fun to throw balls under the couch and then take them back out again. Jerald we love and appreciate everything you do!
And a happy father's day to Seth's Grandpa, Seth's Great-Grandpa, Seth's Great-Grandaddy, and Seth's Zeyde.
We had a great time celebrating Mother's Day at Seth's Uncle Josh (aka Uncle Beard, aka Uncle Weird) and Aunt Sara's.

For those who don't know, Lauren deserves all of the credit for this amazing blog, and for constantly keeping it up-to-date - but Seth and I are taking over for today to wish her a Happy Mother's Day.
As you've all seen Seth grow, and smile, and laugh and learn over the last year, it's in large part due to Lauren's love and attention! It's been amazing watching her with Seth all year - her patience, her warmth and her mom-ness. Happy Mother's Day!

Today we drove from New York back to Boston to celebrate the second night of Passover with Jerald's side of the family. And all of the traveling was well worth it! Seth had a little mini-seder on his own and then everyone else debated and sang late into the night - 12:45 am (although Lauren only made it until 11:45pm).

Tonight was the first night of Passover which meant we had the first seder. We all got dressed up and gathered around the dining room table.
