The school year is coming....

The summer is winding down - we have a few days left in NH before Seth is in 12th, Justin is in 9th and Ezra is in 7th.  I am committing right now to try to get back into a weekly blogging habit.  These memories are too important to me to forget....

Trying to record/remember it all

Whoever said - the days are long but the years are fast really nailed it when it comes to kids!  Each day when the boys were babies and even now with driving in circles - can feel long and exhausting...but in the blink of an eye we have a 12 year old (6th grader), 14 year old (8th grader), and 16 1/2 (11th grader).

There has been a lot of tough stuff and good stuff going on in our lives over the last 6 months.  I have struggled to get back to the blog for years - but I really want to.  As I sit with Ezra getting an infusion for his ulcerative colitis - I am determined to finish his embarrassingly delayed baby book before his bar mitzvah this coming December!  I am relying on the blog to fill in my memory gaps.  What a joy it is to look back on the memories.  Hopefully this can be the kick I need to get back at it!

Just this weekend - Justin had 4 basketball games!  Scoring 34 points in his schechter one!  Seth is able to drive himself to activities and Ezra is such a strong and determined kid - dealing with too often infusions to get healthy.

Ani mamim - this i believe

Justin gave the most amazing speech this morning at Schechter.  He talked about overcoming struggles and working hard for what you wanted.  The Q&A section was amazing as he smoothly fielded questions from the kids ranging from his basketball stats to his work ethic.  We are beyond proud of this kid!

Mass Commanders Bball!

If I haven't said it before - Justin is now all in on basketball.  In the spring he really started loving it but this fall solidified it.  He will be playing on three teams this winter!

Bonus to have Eitan on the same team!

Flag football

Schechter has a flag football team for 7th and 8th graders.  Justin was going to join no doubt!  Because of the practice times we were going to be driving in circles with the boys.  So we asked the coach if Ezra could join (he is in 6th grade) just to practice.  And he said yes!  Turns out they didn't have enough players so Ezra is officially on the team!  Fun to see them play together
