Disney 2014

Sine we were already in Orlando for my cousin's wedding - we couldn't resist going to disney!  We stayed at this amazing newish hotel - Art and Animation.  We swam in The Little Mermaid pool, played pool-side games, stayed in the Lion King room and hung out in the Cars area.  We all had so much fun taking drawing classes in the lobby.

A quick nap at the pool!

We had a great and crazy long day at the Magic Kingdom.  We got there before opening at 8:20.  We went strong until the second light parade at 11pm.  We got back to our hotel after midnight.  We did it all - but definitely had some bumps along the way.  Not as smooth as our first trip.  We had some broken rides, long lines, and missed reservations. But of course we had fun.  Thanks to Grandma & Pa for having fun with us!

We even had a lost tooth!

All three fell asleep on the bus ride back to the hotel.

Some thoughts about the beginning of school

Justin - starting kindergarten had some tears for our Justin.  I think he was overwhelmed at times with the work he might be doing.  The first day he was to write in his journal he became very upset.  "I don't know how to write" he said.  His teacher told him he could draw a picture.  The next day she encouraged him to write some letters - and he did.  By the third day he wrote "Dad"!  He came home from school the first two days saying that it was just too much time away from me and he missed me too much.  My heart broke!  I came up with the idea (inspired by my Mom who gave me my own set of keys so she couldn't leave me at pre-school) to give him a small lamented picture of me to keep in his pocket.  Whenever he misses me - he takes it out and knows that I love him.  According to his teacher it is really helping!  At his back-to-school night there were sheets where the kids where saying what their favorite color, animal, food, friend and what they wanted to be when they grew up.  Justin's were - blue, money, pizza, Eitan and karate teacher.  I saw on at least three other kids sheets that Justin was their best friend!

Seth - the beginning of school has been smooth.  He is enjoying being the oldest in school.

Ezra - was devasted when on the first day of the big boys school he couldn't start.  By the time he finally started I barely got a good-bye.  He is having a great time.

Getting through the fall, and…. catching back up!

To answer the question - no the blog is not over!  The fall is always a very busy time in our family.  All the kids started school (Justin a new school for kindergarten), the kids started their after school activities (including but not limited too…  soccer, karate, basketball, theater, art, and lego robotics), I started volunteering at two wonderful organizations twice a week, and we are just getting through all the Jewish holidays.  A lot of things have been going on, and I have been taking a ton of wonderful pictures that I still want to share.  I am going to do my best to quickly review the past 2+ months with pictures and stories.  Keep scrolling down until I am all caught up.

Ezra at the Dentist

He didn't want to get out of his pajamas - so Buzz Lightyear went to the doctor!
